One of my all-time favourite stories: a very special visit to Marie Curie's preserved lab and office at the Curie Museum in Paris outside of opening hours, to examine some of her belongings - which are still radioactive - with a Geiger counter. These subtle radioactive traces tell an incredible, vivid story of the early days of radioactivity research, and really take us inside the courageous, dangerous work that led to Marie and Pierre Curie's world-changing discoveries. Here's the article.
